It’s Very Dangerous to Be a Pastor

Dear Family,

We receive lots of testimonies about how iBIBLE is blessing people around the world. This one stuck out to me for multiple reasons, which I will share below. Here is the testimony:

“I am Pastor Bala (name changed for security purposes), and I live in a mountainous region in the Indian state of Odisha. There are many people here who have no hope and have never heard about Jesus. It is very dangerous to be a pastor here because the Hindu priests and leaders don’t want us sharing the gospel in the villages.

“I heard about the iBIBLE App and was able to download it on my phone, however I don’t speak any of the available languages, so I had to have a youth in our church who is bilingual translate the video for me.

“The video and words are so powerful, and I have been praying that this would become available in the Odia language, which is the language most people speak here.

“There are many young people in our village who have mobile phones and could download the app to hear about the actual living God if it were available in our language.

“My church members and I are continuing to pray that The Real Story of Jesus would be made available in the Odia language so that it can be used as a powerful tool to share the gospel with those who have never heard.”

It is amazing that this pastor was able to use one of the youths in his church to translate iBIBLE episodes for him! Just last week I wrote about empowering the youth to be part of the solution of Satan’s hold on social media!

iBIBLE can push back against Satan’s stronghold on social media.

Pastor Bala also points out that many people in his area have phones and can access the videos. Being a Hindu stronghold, it is also much safer to share the Word of God through phones.

While India has very few Christians (percentage-wise), God is doing an amazing work there. And I am so excited to see how iBIBLE can be used. As God provides the resources, we will continue to translate iBIBLE into the languages of the world, including Odia.

I am also excited to report that Pastor Bala’s church’s prayers were answered! Just this week, we finished the translation of The Real Story of Jesus into the Odia language! It marks our 100th language of The Real Story of Jesus, which will be released soon!
