More Christians Martyred than the Rest of the World Combined!
Dear Family,
As you likely know, iBIBLE is the project at the center of RevelationMedia’s ministry. It is what I personally believe God has called me to do. But, it is not all that RevelationMedia does. There are other national and international projects we take on because we believe that we can use our resources and expertise to serve God’s Kingdom.
Some of these projects include our promotion of The Matter of Life documentary, and our current ministry outreach in Ukraine. Before agreeing to any ministry outreach, we pray as a team, asking for God’s guidance. I personally must feel confident that we can make a difference in order to take on a new ministry campaign at RevelationMedia.
For the past few months, I have been praying about the dire situation in Nigeria. I have been to Nigeria on two separate occasions. The first time, I went to the south of Nigeria to interview orphaned children whose parent(s) had been martyred for their faith. The second time, I went to the north to film a video of a church where radical Muslim gunmen had opened fire on the congregants.
There are currently more documented cases of Christian martyrs in Nigeria than all other nations combined, and it is growing at an alarming rate.
I have always known that Nigeria is one of the worst persecutors of Christians. But recently, I heard the case of Deborah Samuel, a Christian college student, who was beaten and set on fire for posting about Jesus on her social media. Her martyrdom was filmed on a persecutor’s cell phone as they shouted “Allahu Akbar!”
Deborah Samuel was stoned to death and burned beyond recognition by her fellow students.
The security room Deborah was in before being dragged out by fellow students.
As I watched the video, my heart broke. One young man bragged on camera that he “lit the match” that burned Deborah’s body. I also listened to a Muslim cleric in the same village calling on Muslims to kill Christians if they say anything that goes against Islam. “Don’t even give them a chance to explain or repent,” he ordered. “Just kill them on the spot and let Allah sort it out!”
Deborah Samuel was stoned by a violent mob in Sokoto, Nigeria.
There are currently more documented cases of Christian martyrs in Nigeria than all other nations combined, and it is growing at an alarming rate. It is now estimated that a Christian in Nigeria is killed every two hours!

There is more to this tragic situation that I will share later, but I want to give you an early look at the next campaign that RevelationMedia will be launching. Our goals include:
Wake up the American church (and the church around the world) to what is happening in Nigeria
Support legal efforts to protect the Christians there
Defend those who have been falsely accused
Help those who are being persecuted and the families of the martyrs
We will do these things through partnerships with other organizations that have expertise in Nigeria.
I know that we cannot work in every country where our brothers and sisters in Christ are being persecuted, but the situation in Nigeria is so dire, it has caused us to take action. Just a few months ago, our own government removed Nigeria from a religious liberty watch list, giving them a “clean pass” on their religious freedoms! This has effectively sent a message to the Nigerian government that they do not have to do anything to protect Christians in their country! And they, in fact, are doing very little.
The more the world turns a blind eye, the more our brothers and sisters in Nigeria will suffer and face death at the hands of radical Muslims. Unfortunately, this is proving to be the case repeatedly. Those who participated in the martyrdom of Deborah Samuel have been charged with the misdemeanor of “disturbing the peace,” while Deborah’s family remains in hiding, fearing for their lives.
The more the world turns a blind eye, the more our brothers and sisters in Nigeria will suffer and face death at the hands of radical Muslims.
Please be praying for us as we prepare to launch our campaign to stand alongside our brothers and sisters in Nigeria.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support of RevelationMedia. You make this ministry possible.
